Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform aircraft system Functional Test Procedure (FTP), Pre & Post flight Daily Inspection (DI) check list/ prepare built aircraft for test flight readiness.
  • Ability to learn new tasks and techniques in trouble shoot aircraft systems and support Flight line operation at Airbus FAL Mobile Flight line Organization.
  • Perform integrated systems testing, calibration, alignment, troubleshooting and repair of airborne electronic flight control, navigational and heading systems.
  • Perform pretest, operational (functional) or final testing of electronic systems, components or subassemblies.
  • Perform final tuning, alignment or calibration of electronic systems, components or subassemblies.
  • Troubleshoot electronic systems, components or subassemblies to determine nature of malfunction and corrective action required.
  • Perform Post dock maintenance daily check list/ Safety and security /Incoming inspection.
  • Perform day to day planned and unplanned aircraft maintenance family.
  • Set up and operates ground support and test equipment to perform functional flight tests of electrical and electronic systems.
  • Test and troubleshoot instruments, components, and assemblies, using circuit testers, or volt meters.
  • Ability to verify and upgrade to the latest version of aircraft avionic software.
  • Work closely with the systems engineer to interpret the flight test data to diagnose malfunctions and systemic performance problems.
  • Maintain close working relationship with assigned lead person with regard to schedules, priorities, availability of parts, supplies and tools, and special instructions as required.

Qualifications

  • Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 5 years relevant experience or 3 years experience with Applied Science in Avionics, A&P, or FCC license.
  • Preferred Experience: 5 years minimum aviation experience, preferably in an aviation manufacturing or MRO environment.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Ability to obtain a Repairmen Certificate, Valid Driver License, Valid A&P or FCC License, EASA/TCCA Regulations.
  • Travel: 5% Domestic and International.
