Flight Training Design Developer

Responsibilities

• Drive fantastic learning experiences and results through flight training and implementation of accepted teaching methods.
• Identify flight training needs and develop creative training solutions to meet those needs.
• Write clear and accurate technical documents describing processes and standards.
• Develop and manage training curriculum.
• Independently plan and implement projects, including timelines, resource requirements, budgets, and scope.
• Create storyboard, scripts, and conceptual plans for all deliverables, including live action and animated videos, eLearning, job aids, on-the-job learning, instructor-led training, and more.
• Design and outline graphics, animations, and other contributing assets for use in Cirrus Approach courseware.
• Collaborate with designers, producers, and on-screen talent to create video scripts that enable the best experience for our customers.
• Conduct focus groups with end users to facilitate feedback discussions.
• Manage internal projects, including tracking internal milestones, communicating barriers early, and keeping the team apprised of progress.
• Revise and organize existing documents, identify gaps in the documentation, and execute according to standards.
• Explore future multimedia flight training opportunities to ensure Cirrus Approach remains a training industry leader.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aviation or Education preferred.
• Current FAA CFII and second-class medical certificate required.
• At least 6 months of recent flight instruction experience required.
• At least 300 hours of logged flight instruction given required.
• At least 100 hours high-performance, single-engine, technical advanced aircraft (TAA) experience required.
• FAA IGI & AGI certificate is preferred.
• 2 years of flight and ground instruction experience required.
• 1 year of pilot school certification and management experience preferred.
• 50 hours SR2X flight training experience highly preferred.
• 1 year of experience with design and animation software to include Adobe Creative Cloud and other industry-leading animation and modeling software preferred.
