Flight Test Engineer

About the role

The role of Flight Test Engineer involves designing, conducting, and analyzing flight tests to ensure aircraft safety and performance. The engineer must collaborate closely with other departments to develop test plans, interpret data, and make recommendations for improvements.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute flight tests to evaluate aircraft systems and components
• Interpret test data and prepare detailed reports
• Collaborate with engineering teams to refine test procedures and improve aircraft performance
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in aviation testing
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and test analysis software

Qualifications

• Knowledge of FAA and international aviation regulations
• Experience with aircraft maintenance and troubleshooting
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

• Proficiency in MATLAB and Python for data analysis
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Pay

Salary range: $80,000 - $100,000 annually

Schedule

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
