Flight Paramedic - Located in Orangeburg, SC
Responsibilities
- Complete and submit electronic patient care record for each dispatched flight within the specified time frame.
- Perform daily base checks, including narcotic count.
- Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient care is relinquished to the accepting medical facility, maintaining thorough patient care documentation.
- Maintain competency in knowledge and psychomotor skills through ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences.
- Document required licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and advanced procedures in the Employee Education Manual.
- Use and maintain all equipment and supplies used by emergency programs.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals, and the public.
- Assist in pre-mission briefings and debriefings, completing necessary documentation.
- Conduct aircraft safety briefings as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards to ensure the safety of self, medical personnel, patient, and equipment prior to liftoff.
- Assist in pre-mission liftoff checklist and provide pilot assistance, such as radio, navigational, and visual observation activities.
Requirements
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a 911 or critical care setting.
- Flight Experience Preferred.
- Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma certification required prior to flight status.
- Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C), required within 24 months from date of hire.
- Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
- NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area.
Qualifications
Knowledgeable in use and routine maintenance of all equipment and supplies used by emergency programs.
Skills
Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals, and the public.

Pay
Starting Range is $21.34-$40.99 per hour, Dependent on Experience.
Schedule
Schedule requires one 24-hour shift per week.
