Responsibilities
- Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within specified time frames.
- Perform daily base checks, including narcotic counts.
- Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient care is transferred to the accepting medical facility.
- Maintain thorough patient care documentation.
- Participate in ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences to maintain competency in knowledge and psychomotor skills.
- Document required licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and advanced procedures in the Employee Education Manual.
- Use and maintain all equipment and supplies used by emergency programs.
- Maintain positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals, and the public.
- Function as a medical flight member.
- Attend pre-mission briefings and mission debriefings and complete necessary documentation.
- Aid in pre-mission liftoff checklist and assist the pilot as needed, including radio, navigational, and visual observation activities.
- Comply with safety standards to ensure safety of self, medical personnel, patient, and equipment before liftoff.
- Conduct aircraft safety briefings as needed.
- Fill open or vacant shifts within assigned area as deemed appropriate by the Regional Director.
Requirements
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a 911 or critical care setting.
- Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma certification required prior to flight status.
- Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C) within 24 months from date of hire.
- Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
- NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area.

Pay
$20.92 per hour + DOE, with an additional $4 Geo Modification.
