About the Role
Flight Paramedic responsible for providing advanced life support care and safe patient transportation via air with a professional team committed to safety and excellence in patient care.
Responsibilities
- Complete and submit electronic patient care records promptly after each flight.
- Perform daily aircraft checks, including narcotic counts.
- Deliver pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support from initial contact to handoff, maintaining thorough documentation.
- Maintain competency through ongoing training and certifications.
- Ensure all licensure, certifications, and safety procedures are up to date.
- Operate and maintain medical equipment and supplies.
- Foster positive relationships with colleagues, EMS, hospitals, and the public.
- Participate in pre-mission briefings, aircraft safety checks, and assist with pilot support.
- Adhere to safety standards to ensure crew, patient, and equipment safety.
- Fill open shifts as needed, ensuring operational readiness.
Requirements
- Minimum three years’ experience in 911 or critical care settings.
- Current EMT-P license in the service area.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP; trauma certification required.
- Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C) within 24 months.
- Instructor certifications and NREMT-P may be preferred or required.
