Your Impact
- Provide advanced critical care to patients with life-threatening conditions during air medical transport
- Assess, stabilize, and manage trauma, cardiac, respiratory, and pediatric emergencies in flight
- Perform advanced procedures within paramedic scope
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and blood products per guidelines and established protocols
- Ensure safety throughout all phases of transport in collaboration with pilot and flight nurse
- Collaborate closely with flight nurses, pilots, and other professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes during transport
- Maintain clear and continuous communication with receiving hospitals, pre-hospital care providers, and family members as necessary
- Participate in pre-flight safety checks, post flight debriefings and maintain equipment readiness
- Document patient care accurately and support quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain critical care skills through ongoing training
Your Qualifications
- Current Paramedic license in MN, WI, with critical care endorsement required and preferred ND and MI licensures
- BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required; trauma certifications (TPATC) are encouraged
- FP-C will be required within 18 months of hire date
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification will be required after hire date
- FEMA certification for ICS 100, 200
- A minimum of 3 years of recent (within the last 5 years) critical care of 911 EMS paramedic experience with a focus on high-acuity, critical patient care
- Prior critical care experience that involved a comprehensive understanding of advanced life support techniques, pharmacological therapies, invasive procedures, and emergency interventions
- Prior exposure to high-acuity, multi-system trauma, including shock, severe head injuries, and complex cardiac emergencies, is essential
- Must maintain a flight crew weight of 230 lbs or less, fully dressed in flight required gear
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to maintain airport security access credentials (where applicable)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous flight experience preferred
- Experience with adult and pediatric patient populations, including neonates, highly preferred

- Base Pay Rate: $34.15 - $46.72 per hour, based on experience
