About the Role

The Citation C560 First Officer supports safe and efficient flight operations under the supervision of the captain. The First Officer works collaboratively with the flight crew to deliver exceptional service and maintain operational safety throughout all phases of flight.

Responsibilities

• Pre-flight duties: Familiarization with route, aerodromes, winds, weather, navigation aids, and alternate plans
• Ensure flights are conducted safely and in accordance with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARS)
• Operate aircraft in compliance with CARS, taking corrective action if safety is jeopardized, and adhere to checklists for all flight phases
• Observe instructions and limitations in Operations Manual, Flight Manual, and Certificate of Airworthiness
• Follow Air Traffic Control, communications, and weather reporting procedures
• Ensure aircraft operation within parameters for patients; report deviations in the Captain’s Trip Report
• Report known or suspected aircraft defects to the maintenance department and record in the Journey Log
• Check weather for unusual conditions and take precautions to protect the aircraft during stop-overs
• Complete and submit associated paperwork (Journey Log, Flight Manifests, Captain’s Trip Report, Load Control forms, fuel slips, Dangerous Goods)
• Follow flight procedures and notify authority of crew location
• Carry out duties as detailed in the Safety Management System Manual

Requirements

• Valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) Certificate or IATRA
• 650 hours total flight time (100 hours pilot-in-command)
• 100-hour time on type
• Strong knowledge of Transport Canada regulations
• Able to obtain Driving Airside License (D/A) and Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)
• Valid driver’s license and passport; ability to travel abroad unrestricted
• Clear current criminal record, child abuse registry, and vulnerable sectors check
• Fully vaccinated with a Canadian-approved COVID-19 vaccine

• Indigenous Awareness and/or Cultural Diversity training

Working Conditions

• Rotational shift work: 14 days on, 14 days off
• Flights may involve operating into remote or challenging fields, requiring high levels of skill and adaptability

• Work is performed both indoors and outdoors; contact with staff and the public; must adapt to outdoor weather conditions
