Responsibilities
- Assess each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor, and treat patients in critical care situations.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to manage the critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patient and support physicians’ orders.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment, perform regular equipment and base checks, and comply with safety standards and briefings.
- Work collaboratively and effectively communicate in a professional manner with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners.
- Share shift change information with the transitioning team and follow protocols to maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation and records.
Requirements
- Three years of experience in an Emergency or Adult Critical Care setting as a licensed RN.
- Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area.
- EMT Certification & Trauma Certification in state(s) where required.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status (NRP certification is provided during New Hire Training).
- Certified Registered Flight Nurse (CFRN) required within 24 months from date of hire.
Qualifications
- Prior flight experience is preferred.
- Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS are preferred.

Flight Nurses should have strong critical thinking skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards. They must also be proficient in managing patient care in critical situations and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Pay
$115,000k - $165,000k DOE (Salary range is determined based on experience and qualifications)
