Role: Critical Care Flight Nurse Responsibilities: Provide advanced life support and critical care during air and ground transportAssess, stabilize, and manage critically ill or injured patients autonomouslyOperate and maintain medical equipment, document patient care accuratelyCollaborate with healthcare teams, patients, and families to ensure seamless careAdhere to safety protocols and manage physiological challenges at altitudeMaintain operational readiness and contribute to transport program quality Qualifications & Skills: State-certified RN with no restrictions, with ALS, BLS, PALS, trauma, and NRP certificationsEmergency or critical care experience; ability to obtain CFRN within two yearsStrong critical thinking, autonomous decision-making, and effective communication skillsBachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required; must complete within four years if hired prior to deadlinePreferred: extensive ICU experience, advanced trauma certifications, mentoring skills, familiarity with ICU technologies Physical & Other Requirements: Ability to perform strenuous tasks, operate complex equipment, and work in high-stress environmentsMaintain weight restrictions, pass physical assessments, and work long shifts including nights and weekends Location: Cortez Air Base, Colorado
