Key job responsibilities

• Continuously monitor the status of all active drone flights within the assigned region, utilizing our state-of-the-art monitoring systems.
• Identify and respond to any deviations from planned flight paths or operational parameters.
• Ensure all drone flights comply with regulatory requirements and company safety policies.
• Cook up and submit detailed reports on flight activities, incidents, and anomalies.
• Provide feedback and insights to support continuous operational improvement.
• Utilize excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills while maintaining a high attention to detail in all tasks.
• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills while working effectively in a high-pressure environment.
• Adhere to FAA regulations and Prime Air directives and processes.

Basic Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Travel up to 25% of the time
• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
• Knowledge of basic mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting
• Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment
• Can demonstrate strong attention to safety and ability to follow detailed procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of aviation terminology and regulations
• Experience in warehouse or logistics
• Experience in aviation, aerospace, or drone operations

About the role

Prime Air is seeking a highly skilled and vigilant Flight Monitor to join our dynamic team. This critical role is central to our commitment to delivering packages safely, efficiently, and reliably through our advanced drone fleet.

Responsibilities

This role requires the ability to carry/lift up to 50 lbs., stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach. This role requires the ability to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

This role may require travel, up to 25% of the time. Export Control License: This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon’s ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.
