Program Summary

The manufacturing track places participants on our most critical shop and manufacturing SQDC challenges, working with operational and FLIGHT DECK Leaders (FDLs) to activate and accelerate the FLIGHT DECK Fundamentals and Behaviors in factories and test operations. These experiences will deepen participant capabilities against the FLIGHT DECK Enterprise Capability Model in FLIGHT DECK Leadership, People Leadership, Strategy & Results.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or related field
At least 5 years working experience in a Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and/or Lean environment

Desired Characteristics

Approximately 5–10+ years of total working experience
Experience owning SQDC outcomes in a manufacturing space
Demonstrated use of multiple FLIGHT DECK/lean fundamentals in manufacturing with direct customer impact
Evidence of leading cross-functional teams to solve problems and run improvements
Alignment with GE Aerospace Behaviors – Respect for People, Continuous Improvement, Customer Driven – including comfort at genba, willingness to iterate through experimentation, openness to feedback and connects work to customer impact
Willing and able to spend significant time at genba
Geographic mobility while on program and at time of graduation per business needs
Willingness to travel up to 25% per year while on program to support business needs
