Flight Coordinator I - Located in Lewisville, TX

About the role

Located in Lewisville, TX, this position offers a starting pay of $21.00 and has day and night shifts available, with transfer capabilities across the entire GMR footprint.

Responsibilities

• Perform radio, telephone, and computer operations to notify flight personnel according to departmental procedures
• Review, confirm, and verify preflight risk assessments for completeness
• Monitor, track, and log progress of flights
• Have situational awareness of current and forecasted weather along planned flight routes
• Pass critical flight information to the Pilot in Command and Operational Control Specialists
• Respond to customer needs and understand medical terminology to accurately process air transport requests
• Allocate air resources properly using decision-making rules and approved protocols
• Maintain accurate and complete paperwork and data entry for the shift
• Generate applicable reports and check for accuracy
• Assist in locating incident scenes and selecting the safest, fastest route
• Relay instructions, messages, and emergency information
• Maintain a current working knowledge of company policies, procedures, and equipment
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, and maintain competency through continuing education

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Skilled in reading and writing English
• Ability to communicate clearly on the radio and telephone
• Ability to record, transmit, and report information accurately
• Ability to efficiently utilize assigned equipment
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Good typing skills with speed and accuracy
• Ability to understand basic computer applications
• Minimal medical training or telecommunications experience, or at least one year's experience as an EMS or public safety dispatcher (preferred)
