hireneXus is partnering with an established packaging and label manufacturer in the Green Bay area to hire an experienced Flexographic Press Operator for its second-shift production team. This is a direct-hire opportunity for an experienced printing professional who takes pride in producing high-quality work and enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
About the role
The ideal candidate will have hands-on flexographic printing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to independently set up, operate, and troubleshoot press equipment. Experience operating Nilpeter flexographic presses is highly desired.
Responsibilities
- Operate and set up flexographic printing presses in accordance with established production, quality, and safety standards.
- Monitor press performance throughout production runs and make adjustments as needed to maintain consistent output and print quality.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and print-related issues to reduce downtime, minimize waste, and maintain production efficiency.
- Ensure all required substrates, inks, tooling, and other materials are properly staged and available for scheduled production runs.
- Maintain a strong focus on product quality, safe work practices, and efficient use of materials.
- Collaborate with production team members and other departments to meet production schedules and customer specifications.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and other process improvement methodologies.
- Follow established quality systems and procedures while contributing to a workplace culture centered on safety, quality, efficiency, and innovation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional printing experience required; experience in flexographic, label, or packaging printing strongly preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot production equipment.
- Hands-on experience with cold foils, hot stamp dies, rotary screens, and tactile varnishes.
- Experience operating Nilpeter presses is highly preferred.
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks, manage multiple production demands, and consistently meet deadlines.
- Strong communication, teamwork, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and/or ISO quality systems is a plus.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM

Up to $35/hour, based on experience
