Flex Warehouse Operator

About the Role

This part-time role is part of our Flex Manufacturing Program, offering flexible hours where you can choose your schedule. Typical weekly hours range between 16-29, varying by location. You’ll be a key member of our warehousing team, performing front-line processes to ensure successful delivery of final products. This role is within our Purina Animal Nutrition business, serving producers and animal owners throughout the United States.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all safety processes and ensure safety practices for self and others
• Show up on time, complete tasks by deadlines, and adapt to changes quickly
• Process work orders by selecting correct products from racks, palletizing, shrink-wrapping, and staging for delivery
• Multi-task and keep up with warehousing demands in a fast-paced environment
• Follow all standard operating procedures
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area
• Operate a forklift and use other plant machinery and equipment as needed

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• 6+ months of work experience in any industry
• Basic computer and math skills
• Able to read, write, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions
• Willingness to learn new skills, problem-solve, and troubleshoot
• Strong collaboration and communication skills; always respectful
• Successful forklift certification required

Preferred Experience

• 1+ year of warehousing work experience
• Forklift experience
• RF scanner experience
• SAP experience

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift/carry up to 60 pounds
• Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing, and other active movements
• Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment
• Working in temperature zones that include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods, and may include areas where dust and chemicals are present
• Required to work scheduled shift which may include weekends, some holidays, and periodic overtime

Pay

$24.45 per hour
