About the role
The Unarmed Flex Security Officer is responsible for protecting the property, assets, and people within various sites including patrols, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings/access points, and ensuring the safety and security of all individuals.
Responsibilities
- Maintain clear and effective communication with site and Company staff regarding security matters.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents and take appropriate action.
- Provide excellent service by assisting visitors and employees with inquiries and concerns.
- Manage conflicts and disturbances in a calm and professional manner.
- Work together with law enforcement agencies as needed.
- Complete additional work tasks with guidance from the Field Support team.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED is required.
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in a school setting is a plus.
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- First Aid and CPR certification is desirable.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Ability to work flexible hours and the ability to work all shifts on any given day, potentially including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications
- Reliable transportation is required.
- Must be able to see, hear, speak, and write clearly to communicate with employees and/or other customers.
- Pushing/pulling/carrying and lifting may include up to 50 lbs.; stair climbing, walking and, at times, standing.
- Normal vision or corrected by use of glasses and/or contacts for normal reading and viewing abilities.
- General computer knowledge and able to adapt to software easily.
Skills
