• On-call/as needed position
• Available to work weekends and various shifts
• Pay rate of $18.51/hr, paid weekly
• Must have open availability to work all shifts and days including weekends and holidays
• Reliable transportation
• Must have basic computer skills
• Must be able to sit and stand for hours at a time
• Must be able to obtain a Hutchinson, KS Security License
• Strong customer service skills
• Read and understand written instruction and communicate information and ideas in clear and concise written form

Scheduling Expectations

• Trained at various posts and/or facilities based on operational need
• Schedule varies based on operational need
• Assigned to, or offered the opportunity to accept, shifts as they become available due to staffing needs
• Some shifts are scheduled in advance and posted with the new week's schedule
• Some shifts are called with short notice and asked to come in to cover for someone who is unable to work their shift
• Expected to work any shift for which you are scheduled in advance which falls within the availability described on this sheet
• If you know you will be unavailable on an upcoming date or time that would normally fall within your availability described on this sheet, you must communicate this with your supervisor, so they know not to schedule you
• For short-notice call-ins, expected to work at least 80% of the shifts for which you are called
• If you refuse more than 20% of shifts for which you are called in, this could negatively impact your employment status with the company

Flex Officer Explanation

The Flex Officer position is crucial to our company’s operational and financial success. The flex officer provides trained, competent support by working shifts which become open due to illness, call-offs, weather, vacation, or other causes. This enables Sunstates to provide continual, uninterrupted service to our customers, while also protecting the health and work balance of our personnel.

Education Requirements (All)

• High School diploma or equivalent

Certification Requirements (All)

• KS Unarmed Security License
