About the role
The Route Service Delivery Driver’s primary responsibilities are to provide premium customer service to residential, commercial, and retail customers, accelerate growth through upselling, manage account information, and work safely. This role is highly interactive and requires the ability to safely operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV). This position may experience periods of temporary layoff due to seasonality, during which elected benefits (medical, dental, and vision) will continue at the active employee rate. Upon return from a temporary layoff, you will receive a one-time grossed-up bonus of $250 per week for each week you were on layoff.
Responsibilities
- Operate a commercial vehicle in a safe and responsible manner, follow defined safe work practices, and complete DOT-required documentation daily.
- Adhere to safety policies, including the prohibited use of electronic devices while driving and reporting any on-the-job incidents or changes in driving status.
- Be courteous, outgoing, and maintain a professional image while meeting each customer’s preferences for product delivery.
- Maintain necessary delivery information on all accounts, including cash and receipts.
- Maximize efficiencies and bring actionable solutions to leadership.
- Act as a team player by supporting team decisions and assisting others when needed.
- Provide professional water dispenser cleaning services while adhering to a strict quality process.
- Adhere to pricing and promotion guidelines set by Primo Brands.
- Upsell additional products and services to existing customers and achieve monthly customer acquisition goals.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to secure and/or maintain a CDL Class B with airbrake endorsement (for applicable CDL positions). Primo Brands can assist with obtaining a Class B CDL where available.
- Service-oriented with strong face-to-face sales skills.
- Ability to work independently, efficiently, and in different types of weather.
- Ability to effectively interact with customers in a variety of settings.
- Ability to lift and carry an average of 250+ units per day, each weighing up to 45 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to climb in and out of a commercial vehicle an average of 40-55 times per day.
- Ability to work an average 45-hour week or more, including variable start/end times.
- Ability to alternately sit, stand, push, pull, and walk all day, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card.
- Must possess a clean driving record:
- In the last 3 years: only 1 license, no driving-related suspension/revocation/cancellation, no disqualifying offenses, no more than 2 moving violations, and no reckless driving incidents.
- In the last 3 years: no major driving offenses, including DUI/DWI, refusal to test, leaving the scene, driving a commercial vehicle without a CDL, or at-fault fatal accident.
- Must be 21 years of age or older (DOT requirement).
- Strong English language skills for effective communication with customers and team members.
Pay
NON CDL: $67,392 per year & customer tips
CDL B: $72,392 per year & customer tips
Schedule
Monday - Friday (Saturdays dependent on business needs)
Start Time: Between 6 am - 7 am until workload completed
