About the role
The Flexible FT Route Service Delivery Driver provides premium customer service to residential, commercial, and retail customers, accelerates growth through upselling, manages account information, and operates a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) safely. This role is highly interactive and requires strong face-to-face sales skills.
Responsibilities
- Operate a commercial vehicle in a safe and responsible manner, follow defined safe work practices, and complete DOT required documentation daily.
- Adhere to safety policies, including prohibiting electronic device use while driving and reporting on-the-job incidents or changes in driving status.
- Deliver correct products to the right location during scheduled times while maintaining a courteous and professional image.
- Maintain necessary delivery information, including cash and receipts, for all accounts.
- Maximize efficiencies and bring actionable solutions to leadership; act as a team player by supporting decisions and assisting others.
- Provide professional water dispenser cleaning services while adhering to a strict quality process.
- Adhere to pricing and promotion guidelines; upsell additional products and services to existing customers and achieve monthly customer acquisition goals.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to secure and/or maintain a CDL Class B with airbrake endorsement (Primo Brands can assist with obtaining this where available).
- Service-oriented with strong face-to-face sales skills.
- Ability to work independently, efficiently, and in different types of weather.
- Ability to effectively interact with customers in a variety of settings.
- Ability to lift and carry an average of 250+ units per day, each weighing up to 60 lbs., using product handling tools as appropriate, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Meet physical demands of the role, including sitting, standing, walking, lifting, stooping, bending, squatting, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to climb in and out of a commercial vehicle an average of 40-55 times per day.
- Ability to work an average 45-hour week or more, including variable start/end times.
- Ability to obtain a DOT medical card.
- Clean driving record: in the last 3 years, only 1 license, no driving-related suspension/revocation/cancellation, no disqualifying offenses, no more than 2 moving violations, no reckless driving incidents, and no major offenses (DUI/DWI, refusal to test, leaving the scene, driving a commercial vehicle without a CDL, or at-fault fatal accident).
- Must be 21 years of age or older (DOT requirement).
- Strong English language skills for effective communication with customers and team members.
Pay
$61,160 per year + customer tips (paid weekly).
Schedule
- Monday - Friday (Saturdays dependent on business needs).
- Start time between 6 am - 7 am until workload is completed.
- This position may experience seasonal periods with fewer work hours due to slower business levels. Temporary layoffs may occur, during which elected benefits (medical, dental, vision) continue at the active employee rate, and you remain responsible for your portion of the premiums.
- Upon return from temporary layoff, receive a one-time grossed-up bonus of $250 per week for each week on layoff.
- Must remain prepared to return to work at any time during temporary layoff; you remain a full-time employee during this period.
