Fleet Shop Automotive Technician Mechanic- North Platte, NE

About the role

Our busy fleet shop is looking for an automotive technician to meet our demand. You will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing vehicles within the fleet.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair vehicles within the fleet.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and inspections.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend vehicle life.
• Follow the Safety handbook.
• Must have a valid driver's license and basic tools.
• Have excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles.
• Knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods.
• Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment.
• Strong work ethic, clean driving record, and professional conduct.
• Report to work at the designated start time and work overtime.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Technical understanding, attention to detail, dependability, power tools experience, verbal communication, and documentation skills.
• ASE Certifications are a plus.

Requirements

• At least 22 years of age with a valid driver's license.
• Basic tools.
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles.
• Knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods.
• Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment.
• Strong work ethic.
• Clean driving record.
• Professional conduct.
• Proper footwear and attire.
