Fleet Project Manager

About the Role

The Project Manager will act as the primary leader on the contract, managing day-to-day operations to ensure all regulatory requirements and timelines are met. They will oversee the contract's phased execution within the proposed budget, maintain P/L responsibility, and set policies to ensure good order and discipline among contract employees. The role involves staffing the contract with certified and qualified employees to meet objectives and serving as the main customer point of contact for all contract issues.

Work is typically based in a busy office environment with frequent interruptions. Business hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, though some extended or weekend hours may be required.

Responsibilities

• Staff the contract with certified and qualified employees that meet the contract requirements
• Identify processes and procedures to facilitate efficient execution of work, achieving the highest margins on target and non-target work
• Set policies to ensure good order and discipline on the contract
• Manage the workforce to complete all contract requirements
• Serve as the main customer point of contact on all contract issues
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent (required)
• Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
• Valid Professional Licenses in a related field
• 5 years in the last 10 years providing fleet management services to a fleet of 300-500 or more vehicles
• 5 years of demonstrated Project Management experience with sole P/L responsibility managing fleet contracts of 1,000 vehicles or larger
• 10-15 years of progressive operational experience on fleet programs, culminating in at least 5 years at the Project Management level conducting vehicle management and repair services
• Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 25 lbs.
• Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday

Schedule

Business work hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with the possibility of extended or weekend hours as needed.
