The opportunity
Lead GSE maintenance teams to maximize fleet availability, safety, and compliance in high-volume airport operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct leadership, performance management, and technical guidance to the Road Service Manager and field mechanics.
- Conduct quarterly audits of subco spend and performance for each workshop and review with managers and director.
- Track warranty recovery performance and report recoveries and missed opportunities to Operations leadership.
- Ensure proper preventative maintenance of the equipment; work with GSS and TCR HQ on proper maintenance intervals, ensure PMs and required inspections are documented.
- Oversee the implementation of Telematics devices; ensure all devices are reporting and alerts are acted upon.
- Conduct annual fleet audits.
- Organize mechanic training with vendors.
- Provide technical input on asset lifecycle, condition assessments, and replacement planning to Headquarters.
- Oversee and approve all repairs over $5k and ensure decisions are technically and financially justified and aligned with company capitalization policies.
- Champion a strong safety culture and ensure maintenance operations meet all regulatory and internal H&S standards.
- Manage subcontractors and visitors, addressing substandard work promptly.
- Investigate vehicle and personal accidents and complete required reports to company standards.
- Support audits, internal reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives related to maintenance operations.
Qualifications
- Strong Ground Support Equipment (GSE) knowledge
- Strong technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong communication skills, with internal teams and customers
- Effective leadership, motivational, organizational and communication skills
- Proficient computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office
- Ability to interpret maintenance data, KPIs, and cost reports to support operational decisions
- Comfort working cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Safety, and HQ teams
- 3-5 years of successful business management experience
- Mechanical, technical experience (experience as technician preferred)
- Valid driver’s license

Pay
The pay range for this position is $95,000-$125,000 based on experience and qualifications.
