Fleet Maintenance Manager

Manages all fleet and equipment for the transportation department.

Working conditions: office and shop environment; ability to lift parts and materials; some travel required.

Responsibilities

• Manages all company tractors, trailers, straight trucks, and two truck shops.
• Hire, trains, and supervises mechanics.
• Develops and implements preventative maintenance schedules for all company trucks/equipment.
• Manages 100 straight trucks and 180 tractor trailers.
• Coordinates and prioritizes cost effective truck/equipment repair.
• Ensures DOT, OSHA, and safety compliance, record keeping and reporting.
• Maintenance and reporting of fleet costs.
• Manages acquisitions and disposal processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years fleet management experience is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic mechanics and operation of tractor trailers and straight trucks.

Skills

• Excellent PC skills are required.
• Excellent written/verbal/interpersonal communication skills.
