About the role
TCI Rental and Leasing is seeking a Diesel Mechanic with 4+ years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of expertise and attention to detail.
Primary Duties
- Preventative maintenance at the shop and customer’s location
- Oil changes on various types of vehicles, including TRUAir & hydraulic brakes
- Troubleshooting and repairs for lift & rail gate PM
- Suspensions & steering trouble shooting and repairs
- Drive train, rear end, transmissions (auto & manual) trouble shooting and repair
- Clutch changing
- Conduct fuel and electrical diagnostics with limited supervision
- California 90 day BIT & Federal USDOT inspections
- A/C trouble shooting and repair (608 & 609 a plus)
- Accurately complete written records of work performance
- Maintain a clean work and shop area as directed by Safety SOP's
- Communicate with drivers & customers regarding DVIR's (Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports)
Requirements
- 5 to 6+ years of Diesel Engine Repair experience
- Valid driver's license
- Self-motivated and leadership skills
- Available for On Call Rotation
