About the role
Fleet Maintenance Mechanics at Walpole Inc. are responsible for diagnosing and repairing various vehicle and equipment issues, ensuring that all work is completed accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Selecting the appropriate course of action for repairs
- Evaluating completed work prior to release, seeking supervisor approval where required
- Removing, cleaning, repairing, reinstalling, and adjusting vehicle components
- Diagnosing all phases of vehicle and equipment repair
- Ensuring work orders are completed accurately
- Performing road calls and emergency services as necessary
- Actively participating in safety or educational training as required
- Moving vehicles safely between job and work area
- Communicating professionally with drivers, team members, and supervisors
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 3 years of vehicle/equipment maintenance experience
- Valid driver’s license (Class A CDL preferred but not required)
Qualifications
- ASE/EVT Certifications are preferred but not required
- Must have the appropriate toolset
