Fleet Associate
About the Role
As a Fleet Operations Associate, you will work throughout the city as part of our Fleet Operations Team to ensure cars are clean, maintained, and transported to where they need to be for our Zipcar members. You’ll travel by foot, bike, public transit, or Zipcar to ensure our vehicles are ‘member-ready’—this might include changing a tire, filling the gas tank, cleaning, or coordinating a tow or repair.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the front line of the team—member satisfaction depends on you.
- Represent the company brand across the city, ensuring vehicles meet quality standards.
- Perform tasks such as vehicle cleaning, maintenance, and minor repairs.
- Coordinate tows or repairs as needed.
- Communicate vehicle status updates to the operations team.
Requirements
- Strong time management skills to juggle multiple priorities and tasks.
- Excellent communication with the operations team.
- Flexibility to work 40-hour weeks, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather and conditions.
- Valid Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record (per company standards).
- Ability to carry tools and marketing materials (up to 50 lbs.).
