Flavor Lab Tech

About the role

A leading manufacturer in Mahwah, NJ, seeks a Flavor Lab Technician to assist flavor chemists and applications lab members in creating marketable flavors. The technician will keep lab supplies stocked and maintain a clean and organized lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Compounding flavors
• Spray drying
• Reactions
• Stocking raw materials
• Filling sample requests
• Maintaining the Flavor Lab Library
• Developing simple flavor formulas with supervision
• Participating in tasting panels
• Assisting with shipping

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university, or one to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Word
• Basic mathematical skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred
