Flatbed Utility Truck Driver

Description Of Duties & Scope

• Safely hauls materials & equipment to jobsites
• Uses defensive driving practices
• Maintains an alert awareness of potential jobsite hazards
• Delivers materials & equipment safely and efficiently
• Observes, inspects, and reports equipment or mechanical failures immediately

Physical Demands & Requirements

• Works in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain, snow
• Wears personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves always), respirator when required
• Works 8-10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, overtime, and night shifts as required
• Able to perform essential functions including crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching, lifting heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds, and pushing/pulling of objects
• Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers
• Physical work is a primary part of the job (more than 70%)
