About the role

Group 1 Toyota Southwest Houston is seeking production-driven Flat-Rate (Flag) Technicians to join their team. Ideal candidates should have at least six months of flat-rate (flagged) production experience, hold ASE and/or manufacturer certifications, and be motivated by efficiency, quality workmanship, and strong earning potential.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality repairs efficiently and accurately, following dealership and factory standards
  • Conduct comprehensive diagnostics, troubleshooting, and testing on automotive systems
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Road-test vehicles to verify successful repairs
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
  • Provide timely updates to service advisors on repair status and estimated completion times for customer communication
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current with evolving automotive technology
  • Uphold company values in all interactions with customers, coworkers, and vendors

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 months of flat-rate (flagged) production experience in a dealership or independent shop environment
  • ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification(s) or Toyota manufacturer-specific certifications (e.g., Toyota)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver license in the state that you will work and a good driving record
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Professional appearance and work ethic
