Flat Rate Technician

About the role

Honda of Mentor, a Penske Automotive Group dealership, is seeking an experienced Flat Rate Technician to join their team and provide exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance work in accordance with factory and dealership specifications and time standards
• Deliver an excellent customer experience
• Ensure customers have a world-class service experience at every step along their ownership journey, especially in vehicle repairs
• Provide an unparalleled level of technical knowledge and expertise to help repair and maintain vehicles to the highest factory and dealership standards
• Communicate clearly and effectively with Service Advisors regarding technical information about customer vehicles
• Comply with all manufacturer standards of quality and timeliness for repairs and maintenance work, ensuring accurate estimates and work orders
• Understand and comply with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations affecting shop operations, including handling and disposal of hazardous waste, OSHA guidelines, and use of personal protective equipment

Requirements

• Genuine interest in providing an exceptional customer experience
• Friendliness, enthusiasm, reliability, and a positive "team-player" attitude
• Strong work ethic capable of working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
• Safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment
• 3+ years of dealership experience
• Brand knowledge is preferred but not required
