Location: Orlando, FL • Long-term contract • Pay rate: $18–$22/hour
Schedule
The contractor will initially work 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. After training, one of the following shift rotations may be assigned based on business needs:
- Sunday – Wednesday: three 11-hour shifts plus one 8-hour shift (front half days and nights)
- Wednesday – Saturday: three 11-hour shifts plus one 8-hour shift (back half days and nights)
These rotations include both day and night shifts, on-call rotations, and shift work.
About the Role
This entry-level position represents the organization to customers by providing information, responding to inquiries, and troubleshooting product-related issues. The role focuses on learning company policies, procedures, and technical processes under close supervision. Work is routine in nature.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and assist with installations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues; escalate unresolved issues per standard procedures.
- Report product failure trends and serviceability issues to management with documentation.
- Provide efficient, responsive, and accurate field/shop/on-site maintenance support.
- Maintain accurate technical records, Field Service Reports (FSRs), expense reports, and assigned company property.
- Deliver excellent customer communication and support.
- Maintain assigned equipment performance standards and support branch/district performance goals.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Less than one year of related experience.
- Basic understanding of internet environments.
- Successful completion of 120-day introductory period and PDIF New Hire Training Class.
- Willingness to travel as required and work in a 24x7 operational environment.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform mobile activities (walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, bending, handling equipment) more than 50% of the time.
- Must complete required security clearances and customer access requirements.
Skills
- Required: Customer service/communication, basic internet environment knowledge, ability to work shifts/on-call, valid driver’s license.
- Preferred: Troubleshooting technical issues, equipment maintenance, field service experience.
