Job Summary
The Fixture Builder is responsible for building all new retail display fixtures and repairing damaged fixtures. This position is responsible for quality craftsmanship and the timely completion of all projects.
Compensation
$25.00 - $31.93
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Occasionally responsible for overseeing other employees when Management is away.
- Build wooden retail display fixtures.
- Repair damaged fixtures.
- Stage and prepare fixtures for golf events.
- Perform plant maintenance when involving construction.
- PGA Show preparation.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- PGA Show set up.
- Pro Shop installs.
- Assist Finisher(s) when schedule deems necessary.
- Ability to build from sketches/blueprints.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Must possess initiative, energy, and drive.
- Ability to multi-task under pressure in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain a safe work environment.
- Must understand Woodworking Shop safety.
- Ability to use the following tools and machinery.
- Panel Saw
- Table Saw
- Edge Bander
- Drill/Driver
- Sanders
- Hand Tools
- Drill Press
- Band Saw
- Router
- Jig Saw
- Shaper
- Air Nailer
- Spray Gun
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 3 years in carpentry/woodworking industry.
- Experience running woodworking machinery.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to walk for extended periods of time.
- Sometimes required to sit.
- Frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle, touch, pinch, or grasp.
- Frequently required to reach above shoulders.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance.
- Frequently required to stoop/kneel/crouch or crawl.
- Ability to talk and hear.
- Frequently required to lift or move up to 100 pounds.
- Sometimes required to lift or move more than 100 pounds.
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed.
- Exposure to loud noise levels.
- Exposure to wet and humid conditions.
- Exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
- Exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals.
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
- Exposure to extreme cold or heat.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts.
- Exposure to possible risk of electrical shock.
- Exposure to working in high, precarious places.
- Close and distance vision.
- Color vision.

- Ability to adjust focus.
- Safety Glasses.
- Dust masks and earplugs.
- No loose clothing.
- No headphones.
- Closed toe footwear is required when entering the Wooshop.
- Ability to travel as needed; anticipated 4 times per year; including some weekends and for an extended duration. Travel can include trade shows and sales meetings including setting up and working these events.
- 7:30 am – 4:00 pm Monday – Friday with Overtime (Saturday 7am – noon) as required.
