About the Role
We are a manufacturer in East TN seeking a Fixed Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves performing various maintenance tasks on stationary equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural repair or replacement of equipment parts
- Conduct basic drive/component alignment
- Handle pipe fitting for 4” and larger pipes
- Change/rebuild pump barrel-Goulds and 4GT IR pumps
- Splice conveyor belts
- Pack Goulds and 4GT IR Pumps
- Troubleshoot basic pump issues
- Assist in replacing conveyor belts
- Assist in full shaft, hoist, crusher, and compressor rebuilds
- Perform basic shaft and hoist repairs
- Execute Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
- Conduct basic rigging and weight handling
- Maintain basic housekeeping functions
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Trade or related qualification in maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment
- Preferred experience in welding
- Ability to read blueprints and fabricate from them
- Experience with burning techniques and appropriate cutters
- Proficiency in using layout/measurement tools
- Ability to read micrometers
