Fixed Income Securities Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate fixed income professional to play a critical role in the investment decision-making process. The ideal candidate is highly engaged and eager to contribute beyond their seat, collaborating with peers to generate investment ideas and expand the fixed income platform.

Responsibilities

• Examine current and potential holdings, identifying bonds likely to outperform selected benchmarks while incorporating top-down macroeconomic views.
• Support the Investment Policy Committee through performance commentary, generating investment ideas, and reviewing existing trends and reports on bond holdings.
• Use knowledge of bond categories to understand how market events impact forward relative returns and develop portfolio themes and views.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the investment philosophy, process, portfolio themes, and rationales.
• Suggest and implement output, process, and system upgrades to enhance team productivity and influence.
• Communicate expertise and insights to internal clients and the firm's largest, most sophisticated clients and prospects via client meetings and written/visual deliverables.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience evaluating different types of bonds (Corporate, Municipal, Asset-backed, and Sovereign).
• Experience supporting client service and sales efforts.
• Ability to offer concise, cogent statements of probability from a diverse selection of possibilities.
• Experience testing and improving current processes.
• Experience interpreting current events into tangible recommendations.
• Skill in using data to find fact-based insights.
