Fixed Income Research – Securitized Products Strategist Analyst
About the role
Morgan Stanley’s North American Fixed Income Research team is looking for an Associate level candidate to join their Securitized Products Strategy team. The role involves communicating with institutional clients, writing research notes, conducting bespoke analysis, and building and maintaining analytical models.
Responsibilities
- Analysis of fundamental and technical trends in the ABS and broader securitized products markets
- Generate written research for client consumption
- Develop and maintain relationships with institutional clients
- Respond to requests for information, calls and data from internal and external clients
- Keep abreast of industry-related news flow
- Regular interaction with securitized products Sales and Trading personnel
Qualifications
- Strong skills in the area of quantitative analysis including ability to manage and analyze large datasets
- Strong programming skills (particularly in Q and R)
- Familiar with applied statistical methods
- Familiar with US fixed income markets and drivers
- High energy, self-motivated, creative and organized
- Proven writing skills
- Strong focus on teamwork
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Communicate clearly and concisely with clients and effectively deliver presentations
- Candidates are expected to be adaptable, work well under pressure, and show persistence and resilience
Pay
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $125,000 per year for Associate, at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
