Fixed Assets & Inventory Accounting Consultant - Senior or Manager

Responsibilities
- Perform inventory reconciliations and prepare related journal entries
- Analyze inventory activity, cost variances, and cost of goods sold trends
- Ensure accurate inventory classification and costing methodologies
- Support accounting for freight, allocations, and other inventory-related costs
- Manage the fixed asset lifecycle, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and asset tracking
- Maintain fixed asset records and support capitalization activities
- Assist with month-end and quarter-end close processes
- Prepare schedules and documentation to support internal and external audits
- Partner with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Procurement teams to improve processes and maintain data accuracy
- Support special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing, inventory-intensive, or product-based environment
- Strong experience with fixed assets and inventory accounting
- Solid understanding of US GAAP and financial close processes
- Experience working with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
