Ask for open opportunities, likely teaming partners, or the evidence behind a recommendation — in plain English, no filters or search syntax. Every result links to the federal records behind it, so you can check the answer before you act on it. ChatGPT and Claude, with more planned. Each provider reviews apps before they appear in its directory and FedScope has not completed those reviews, so during beta you connect using a link from your dashboard. We will point you at an official listing once a provider publishes one. How to connect → How is this different from the research I already do? The federal record is public, but it is spread across systems, keyed by identifiers rather than company names, and slow to search by hand. FedScope merges the records for a single company into one profile, answers a plain-English question against them, and shows its evidence — so the work shifts from assembling data to deciding what to do about it. How answers are built → Where does FedScope's data come from? Public records the U.S. Government publishes — opportunity notices, awarded contracts, and contractor registrations. FedScope keeps its own indexed copy so answers are fast and a slow government site cannot stall your work. Because it is a copy, a very recent change may not have arrived yet; confirm anything with money or a deadline attached at the official source. Sources and freshness → What happens when FedScope gets something wrong? Every answer passes a check that withholds claims the records cannot support, so FedScope will sometimes tell you the record cannot answer your question rather than guess. That is the safeguard working. It cannot catch everything, which is why each claim links to its source — treat FedScope as research that shows its work, not as a system of record. The hallucination shield →Known limits → Does an AI model write FedScope's answers? No. When a question is phrased in a way FedScope's built-in rules are unsure about, a small AI model is asked one thing: which official sources and time period the question is about. Its interpretation is checked before use — it can only choose among FedScope's existing search routes and can never introduce a company, date, or fact you did not type. Every number and record in an answer comes from the official sources FedScope searched, and if the model is slow or unavailable, the built-in rules answer instead. Can anyone see what I search for? No. Your questions, filters, saved partners, and watches are yours. The only thing another company can ever learn is a weekly count of how often it appeared in partner results, and only if it verified and opted in — never who searched, what you typed, or your filters. Note that when you ask from ChatGPT or Claude, that provider processes the conversation under your own account with them. Privacy policy → What does “beta” mean for me right now? FedScope answers from real federal records, but it is early: access opens in stages, features are still being added, and you will find rough edges. Beta costs nothing — payments are not open, so nothing can charge you. That also means the deeper paid features cannot be bought yet; if your account does not already include one, it stays locked until we announce pricing. How do I get access? Join the beta list and we will email you when your access window opens. No cost and no card details — we do not ask for a payment method at all. If FedScope is not yet a fit, tell us what you were hoping to ask; that is how we decide what to build next. Can FedScope brief my program managers? Yes. Add opportunities to your brief as you research, and FedScope drafts a decision-ready summary. You review it, add recipients, and nothing sends until you approve it. Each recipient marks every item pursue, discuss, or pass, and those decisions land back on your dashboard so the team's call is on the record. Decision brief guide → How does FedScope verify that someone can act for a company? You select your company by its federal record, then FedScope emails a contact already published in that government record for approval — not an address you supply. A matching work email supports a claim but never grants ownership on its own. Claims with no usable record contact, disputes, and higher-risk changes go to manual review, which may include a callback to a number FedScope sources independently. Claiming your company → What does the Verified company badge mean? That FedScope confirmed authority through the company's government-record channel or a documented manual review — not merely a matching email domain. We record how and when a claim was approved and block competing ownership. It is not an endorsement, a guarantee of current eligibility, or a check of anyone's legal identity. What Verified covers → How do I know when FedScope surfaces my company to others? Verified companies can turn on a weekly match digest: how often your company appeared in partner results. It reports aggregate counts only — never the searcher, their prompt, or the conversation — so you see the demand without exposing anyone's pursuit strategy. Turn it off from your dashboard or any digest email. Alerts and digests → Who can see past performance I upload? Nobody, by default. A verified company can share a document with one specific partner it has an accepted teaming relationship with; access is served through short-lived links, every view is logged, and the owner can revoke it at any time. FedScope never publishes raw CPARS reports to the network. Past-performance vault → Can FedScope store CUI or other sensitive government information? No. FedScope does not accept controlled or sensitive government information of any kind — including CUI, older markings such as FOUO, and anything classified. The product sits deliberately outside a CUI system boundary and does not claim NIST 800-171, CMMC, or FedRAMP compliance. Upload only authorized, non-sensitive material. What you may upload → Is FedScope affiliated with the government? No. FedScope is an independent commercial service that reads public government records. It is not a system of record, and it is not endorsed by or sponsored by any agency. Always verify a notice at the linked official source before acting on it. Can I ask FedScope by voice? Not yet, and it is not ours to fix. ChatGPT and Claude do not run connectors while they are in voice mode, so a question asked out loud reaches the assistant but never reaches FedScope — you would get a general answer with no federal evidence behind it. Type your question instead. If a provider enables connectors in voice mode, this stops being a limitation and we will say so here. How the connector works → Is FedScope made by OpenAI or Anthropic? No. FedScope is independent, with no affiliation, partnership, sponsorship, or endorsement from either. We name ChatGPT and Claude only to say which assistants FedScope works inside.
