Job Responsibilities
- Work with the Fabrication Manager and other coworkers to ensure that all jobs are fit to their specifications and meet the drawing or best practice requirements/ tolerances.
- Lift or move materials and finished products using overhead cranes / hi-lo.
- Hammer, chip, and grind workpieces in order to cut, bend, prep and/or straighten materials.
- Lay out and examine materials for continuity to the required code/specification as well as to the required materials specified on the drawing.
- Tack weld joints when approved and in accordance with the WPS and their personal WPQR.
- Notify CWI for necessary/required pre-weld inspection and sign-off.
- Position, align, and fit parts to form complete weldments, following drawings and layout specifications. Using jigs, welding torches, and hand tools.
- Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Document actions by completing production timesheets.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma/GED, certificate in Machine Tool Technology or equivalent work experience.
