Fitter Tailor

About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic professional Fitter/Tailor, distinguished by their charisma, technical prowess, and professional integrity. This role will include fittings, sewing on the machine, building client relationships, and supporting the tailor shop manager. This is a full-time position with opportunities for future growth.

Responsibilities

• Client Relationship Management and Fittings
  • Maintain a professional, warm, welcoming studio environment
  • Conduct fittings according to the Alteration Specialists Standard
  • Build relationships with clients, influencers, brands, and stylists
  • Make every client feel welcome and confident in the skills of you and your team
• Machine Production and Sewing
  • Demonstrate that you are meeting personal production targets
  • Cultivate proficiency with men’s, women’s, and bridal alterations as well as alterations of difficult fabrics
• Analytics
  • Constantly evaluate processes that are not efficient and propose solutions to optimize our organization
  • Inform front desk of all re-alterations
  • Keep track of and scan your production during the day and communicate with front desk to confirm accuracy

Requirements

• 7–10 years of alteration tailoring experience required
• 2–3 years of general fitting experience required
• 1 year of fitting both men’s and women’s garments required
• Proficiency in English required

This is a mid-career role.
