About the role
The Fitness Trainer plays a crucial role in the fitness areas of Invited's clubs, focusing on creating a safe, effective, and engaging environment for members and guests. This position involves supervising exercise programs, educating members on proper techniques, and developing personalized fitness plans.
Responsibilities
- Assist in exercise and fitness areas, supporting members and guests with their programs.
- Evaluate member/guest fitness needs and provide appropriate exercise programs.
- Conduct new Member Fit Start appointments according to club standards.
- Promote fitness activities and maintain a high level of professionalism.
- Maintain current fitness-related certifications and seek new education opportunities.
- Ensure daily assignments are completed to uphold club standards.
- Update fitness activities and programming on the web page/member communication board.
- Process accounting procedures for personal training and group sessions.
- Submit monthly forecasts for expected sessions, Fit Starts, and New Client goals.
- Maintain an up-to-date schedule of availability.
- Assist others as needed and take on additional tasks as assigned.
- Follow company, club, and department policies, procedures, and instructions.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and commitment to excellence.
- Follow safe working practices and encourage others to do the same.
- Take initiative in personal and professional growth and maintain required certifications.
- Resolve challenges using available resources and collaborate with regional and corporate teams.
- Attend daily briefings and engage in required activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Fitness Trainer.
- Current personal training certifications from ACSM, NASM, ACE, PTA Global, NFPT, ISSA, CSCS, or NSCA.
- Certification in CPR, First Aid, and AED within the last 6 months.
- Experience as a certified group exercise instructor with AFAA or ACE.
- College degree in health, fitness, exercise science, or a related field preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to assess individual fitness levels and develop tailored exercise programs.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and driving.
- Occasional exposure to temperature changes, dust, fumes, or gases.
- Squatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, twisting, and bending.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 100 lbs. on occasion.
- Talking, hearing, and seeing.
Work Schedule
- Adherence to attendance requirements as outlined in the weekly schedule.
- Flexibility to work additional hours as needed.
- Availability to work on weekends and/or holidays as required.
