Fitness Trainer

About the role

Responsible for running the Planet Fitness group fitness program (PE@PF), assisting new members in achieving their fitness goals by designing simple workout programs and instructing proper equipment use. This is a full‑time, non‑supervisor, non‑exempt position.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and run the Planet Fitness PE@PF program, including creating and following the schedule.
• Consult with members regarding their fitness goals and instruct them on how to use equipment properly and safely.
• Create creative and unique ways to promote PE@PF class sign‑ups.
• Develop bi‑weekly updates consisting of a variety of exercises.
• Meet class requirements based on club size and member traffic.
• Assist in front‑desk activities, including:
  • Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions.
  • Check members into the system.
  • Handle new member sign‑ups.
  • Take potential members on tours.
  • Change or update member account information.
• Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating to the Team Lead, MIT, or Club Manager as needed.
• Help maintain the neatness and cleanliness of the club.
• Assist in overall club appearance and upkeep.

• Completed fitness trainer certification.

Physical Demands

Standing and walking for at least 75% of the shift; talking in person or on the phone for at least 75% of the shift; ability to lift up to 50 lb less than 30% of the time.

Pay

$16.65 per hour.
