Join BODYBAR South Lakeland as our founding Fitness Studio Manager. You’ll lead the fitness side of our new studio, teach classes, develop instructors, and help create a welcoming community. You’ll work closely with ownership and the Studio Manager, with support throughout presale and opening. This position begins part time during presale and transitions to full time as we prepare to open. Within BODYBAR, this role is called the Fitness Manager. Compensation And Benefits Part-time presale: $25 per hour, initially approximately 20 hours weekly.Full-time base salary: $42,000 to $52,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.Monthly performance bonus opportunities after opening.Full-time PTO accrual equivalent to 10 days annually, plus designated paid studio holidays, under studio policies.Complimentary classes, subject to availability and studio policy, and retail discounts.Paid required training time and ongoing professional development. We do not currently offer employer-sponsored health insurance. What We’re Looking For A dependable, approachable leader who takes initiative and follows through.Experience teaching, coaching, or leading others in fitness, wellness, sports, or a related setting.Strong communication skills and the ability to encourage others while providing constructive feedback.Organization, sound judgment, and a commitment to safe instruction and a positive member experience.Enthusiasm for learning the BODYBAR Method and connecting with our local community.Availability for scheduled early mornings, evenings, and weekends, with the ability to transition to full-time work. Required BODYBAR training and teaching approval must be completed before teaching BODYBAR classes. CPR/AED certification is also required before teaching begins. Preferred Qualifications (Not Required) Pilates or reformer teaching experience.Experience managing, training, or mentoring a team.A relevant fitness certification or education.Boutique fitness studio or BODYBAR experience. You do not need to meet every preferred qualification to apply. We welcome candidates with relevant experience, leadership potential, and a willingness to learn. What You’ll Do Teach approximately 10 to 15 BODYBAR classes weekly once full time, including substitute coverage within that range.Help recruit, onboard, and coach a dependable instructor team.Manage class and instructor schedules and coordinate coverage.Maintain safe, consistent classes and use member feedback to improve the experience.Help introduce BODYBAR through community events, mat Pilates classes, and local partnerships.Collaborate with ownership and the Studio Manager on opening preparation and ongoing fitness operations. Teaching is included in the full-time base salary. We will plan schedules together to balance classes, instructor development, and management responsibilities. Schedule Expect approximately 20 hours weekly during initial presale, increasing to approximately 30 and then 40 hours as opening approaches. Presale includes some planning and outreach that may be completed remotely, alongside in-person meetings and community events. After opening, regular on-site availability is required for teaching and team leadership. Schedules will be coordinated in advance wherever possible.
