About the role
The Fitness Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing the physical and mental well-being of members and guests at Invited clubs. They specialize in various areas including wellness, golf and racquet performance, nutrition, and recovery, providing personalized and group training sessions.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate biomechanics using movement screens like 3D Maps and TPI.
- Design strength, mobility, balance, and power programs tailored to individual needs.
- Collaborate with golf and racquet professionals to develop integrated fitness-performance plans.
- Deliver specialized recovery sessions such as guided stretching, mobility work, myofascial release, and percussive therapy.
- Provide evidence-based nutrition and recovery guidance to support member fitness goals.
- Create meal plans and conduct educational workshops on topics like hydration, fueling for sport, and healthy eating.
- Collaborate with dietitians and culinary teams to integrate club dining options into member nutrition plans.
- Maintain certifications such as CPR/AED and pursue further education opportunities.
- Maintain a schedule of availability and ensure daily assignments are completed to meet club standards.
- Support wellness offerings and assist others as needed.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and instructions.
- Maintain a professional and member-focused service mentality.
- Adhere to safe working practices and comply with safety guidelines.
- Take initiative in personal and professional growth and maintain relevant certifications.
- Address and resolve challenges using available resources and collaborate with regional and corporate teams.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a personal trainer or group fitness instructor.
- Experience working in private clubs, luxury, or high-performance training environments.
- Nationally accredited certification (NASM-CPT, ISSA, NFPT, NSCA-CSCS, ACSM-CPT, ACE-CPT or equivalent).
- CPR/AED certification.
- Gray Institute Functional Golf Specialist (FGS).
- Registered Dietitian (RD).
- Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Level 1.
- Minimum of 200 hours of Yoga Alliance RYT.
- Additional specialized certifications may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of biomechanics, functional movement, corrective exercise, nutrition, and recovery science.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
- Ability to design and adapt programs for different ages, abilities, and goals.
- Professional presence and member-focused service mentality.
- Minimum of 5 hours of fee-based work per week.
