Fitness Instructor, Pilates

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic, motivating, and community-minded Fitness Instructor to lead our recreational fitness programs. In this role, you will design and deliver fun, safe, and inclusive fitness classes tailored to participants of diverse ages, backgrounds, and fitness levels. Whether leading high-energy aerobics, functional strength training, or low-impact wellness classes, your goal will be to foster a welcoming environment that inspires community members to achieve their health and wellness goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Class Instruction: Lead engaging, safe, and structured fitness classes. We can design the type of fitness class around the employee's area of expertise.
• Routine Design: Develop creative and effective workout routines, selecting appropriate music, pacing, and equipment.
• Inclusivity & Modifications: Demonstrate and instruct proper exercise techniques, providing clear regressions and progressions to accommodate varying fitness levels and physical limitations.
• Participant Engagement: Welcome participants, build a positive group rapport, and motivate attendees to stay consistent and engaged.
• Safety & Risk Management: Maintain a safe workout environment. Inspect equipment before use, ensure participants are using proper form, and strictly adhere to emergency and first-aid protocols.
• Administrative Duties: Assist with tracking attendance, setting up and tearing down equipment, and reporting any facility or equipment maintenance needs.

Preferred

• Specialized certifications are not required, opportunity to complete certification/training with the county can be available.
• Experience working with diverse demographics, including seniors, youth, or beginners.
