FITNESS INSTRUCTOR

About the role

Join our team as a Fitness Instructor in Lake Havasu City, AZ! We're looking for passionate individuals who love making workouts exciting and engaging in a fun, energetic environment where every class is an adventure.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-energy water fitness classes (Aqua Zumba, HIIT, water aerobics, resistance training)
• Design innovative aquatic routines that challenge, engage, and entertain
• Motivate participants of all ages and fitness levels with a positive, playful attitude
• Organize themed aquatic events, water challenges, and community fun days
• Keep safety at the forefront while making every class feel like a party

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• At least one (1) year of experience as a fitness instructor, or two (2) years of participation in a fitness class
• Ability to perform Water Exercise Instructor duties
• Valid Driver's License of the appropriate class
• First Aid Certification issued by a nationally recognized certifying agency
• CPR Certification issued by a nationally recognized certifying agency
• Automated External Defibrillator Certification issued by a nationally recognized certifying agency

Qualifications

• Certified in Aqua Fitness, Lifeguard/CPR, or equivalent
• Passion for fitness and love for the water
• Fun, outgoing personality—able to make members laugh while they sweat
• Creative thinker who can design unique aquatic workouts
• Team player who thrives in a lively, supportive environment

Possession of at least one (1) of the following is preferred:

• Aquatic Fitness Professional Certification (AFPC) issued by the Aquatic Exercise Association (AEA)
• Aquatic Arthritis Instructor issued by a nationally recognized certifying agency
• Certified Group Exercise Instructor issued by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM)
• Water Safety Instructor Certification (WSI) issued by a nationally recognized certifying agency based on assignment
