About the role
The YMCA of Central Texas is currently seeking Fitness Consultants for the Highland Lakes YMCA.
Responsibilities
- Affords tours responsive to the needs of prospective members
- Affords assistance to participants with cardio and/or weight equipment
- Shares fitness program information with members, using available tools and resources
- Communicates with members and program participants while building relationships in support of their individual needs
- Identifies and celebrates the successes of members and program participants
- Participates actively in maintaining equipment sanitation standards
Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Willing and able to work a variety of shifts, on weekends, and some evenings
- Reliable with a good attendance record
- Neat appearance and well-groomed
- Good knowledge of fitness and wellness
- Friendly, courteous, enthusiastic, possess a cooperative attitude, and be a team player
- Follows YMCA policies and procedures; responds to emergency situations
- Willing to uphold the YMCA’s core values of caring, honesty, responsibility, respect, and faith
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required within 30 days of hire
