Fiscal Assistant

Our client is a government agency serving one of the largest and fastest-growing constituencies in Northern Virginia, focused on enhancing quality of life for residents.

About the role

The Fiscal Assistant will support early intervention administrative and authorization workflows to help ensure timely service coordination and accurate fee processing. This is a full-time, onsite, contract position based in Woodbridge, VA.

Responsibilities

• Process and track fees from multiple sources and ensure items are properly routed and documented
• Upload and maintain routine data in the authorization system, including submission and follow-up activities
• Support Early Intervention workflows, including FCSA-related administrative support
• Assist with Early Intervention eligibility verification and related documentation tracking
• Maintain accurate records and help ensure timelines and required steps are met
• Communicate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely completion of tasks

Requirements

• Experience in administrative, clerical, or fiscal support (in an office or program environment)
• Strong attention to detail with accurate data entry and recordkeeping
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, follow processes, and meet deadlines
• Clear written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

• Prior experience supporting government or human services programs (preferred)
• Familiarity with authorizations and eligibility verification workflows (preferred)
• Proficiency with standard office tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel and Outlook)
• Comfort learning and working in data/authorization tracking systems

Pay

$23.00 per hour
