First Grade Class Teacher

About the role

The Waldorf School of the Peninsula is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic First Grade Class Teacher to join our team in the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will be committed to excellence in teaching, parent education and dialogue, self-development, and collegial cooperation.

Responsibilities

• Engage students' eagerness to know about their world and to experience its wonder.
• Guide students' love of learning through a calming presence.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues.
• Manage the classroom effectively and professionally.
• Communicate positively with parents.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Waldorf training certification
• Previous Waldorf class teaching experience

• Yearly salary range of $72,000 - $75,000 depending on experience, certification, and education.
