FIRST ASST MANAGER TRAINEE

About the role

The First Assistant Manager at United Dairy Farmers is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service and ensuring the smooth operation of the store.

Responsibilities

• Managing other associates, assigning and monitoring their duties, coaching The Hi Five Guest Experience, and training Shift Leaders and Guest Services Associates.
• Providing input to the Store Manager for counseling and disciplining associates.
• Performing screening interviews with applicants.
• Assisting with store administration tasks such as ordering, reviewing weekly delivery reports, transferring products, and completing paperwork.
• Ensuring the delivery of the UDF Hi Five Guest Experience, greeting guests warmly, preparing and serving dips, managing POS and gas consoles, maintaining merchandise, ensuring security, and performing maintenance tasks.
• Accurately completing time records and the Customer First Document.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to see, hear, and understand spoken English well enough to communicate with customers.
• Ability to operate store equipment, including POS terminal, gas console, and check identification documents.
• Ability to prepare DipSide items and handle various payment methods.
• Ability to lift and move merchandise, and tolerate cold temperatures.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as reaching, lifting, and standing.

Qualifications

Legal qualification to conduct sales transactions including alcohol and tobacco sales.

Skills

Customer service skills, ability to manage multiple tasks, attention to detail, and physical stamina.

Pay

$14.00/hour - $17.00/hour.

Schedule

Full-time (40 hours per week); four 2-hour shifts and one 1-hour shift; 2 weekends/month.
