First Assistant Coach - Women's Softball
About the role
The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics at California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) invites applications for a full-time position at the rank of 1st Coaching Assistant (12-month) with the appointment tentatively starting on August 3, 2026.
CSUDH is seeking applications from candidates who can demonstrate experience in teaching and working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and contribute to the University’s mission, vision, and core values.
Responsibilities
- Show demonstrated coaching and recruiting success, preferably at the collegiate level
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Strong commitment to the academic achievement of student-athletes through knowledge and understanding of NCAA regulations
- Ability to act as a mentor, and sensitivity to equality and diversity issues
Qualifications
- Experience in working with students from diverse age, socioeconomic, cultural, and academic backgrounds
- 3-5 years experience at the college (NCAA Division 1, 2, 3, or community college) level

Additional Information
The full-time Coaching Assistant (12-Month) classification salary range is $6,288-$7,658 per month (12 monthly payments per academic year); The anticipated hiring salary is $6,288 to $6,500 per month.
This position will be commensurate with experience and current CSUDH faculty salaries in the academic department/discipline.
